If you are getting ready to put your house on the market, you might want to consider sprucing up your laundry space. Cool laundry rooms make an impact. We spend more time in the laundry room than we think. If you don’t already have a room (as most historic homes do not), think outside the box when deciding where to add a designated laundry space. Barn doors, screen doors and shoji screens make for an elegant and fun transition. Maybe two laundry options are the solution, an all in one in the primary bedroom area and a larger capacity option on a different floor. All will add value.

In newer homes, laundry rooms have become an integral part of the design. Upgrading these with nice flooring, wood cabinetry, sexy surfaces for folding and ironing and maybe a fun wallpaper theme will not be missed. A space that was once rarely considered has become a focal point. Get creative and have fun with it!
